High endurance dog boot sock with double Velcro fastener. The paw socks are sewn in nylon with a light coating on the inside to protect against water. There are good side seams and a seamless toe section. Perfect for walking in both wet and dry conditions to protect your dog's paws for both wet and dry conditions.

Why high paw socks and double Velcro?

Some dogs get problems with chafing when wearing "regular" paw socks. This can be avoided by taping the dewclaw. This tall paw sock can solve this problem by attaching the bottom Velcro to the "wrist" and the top Velcro to the top of the dewclaw. Double Velcro - twice as secure.

Using dog socks

When you have put the sock on, lift the other leg up so that the dog stands properly on the leg with the sock on - this makes it easier to see if the sock fits. It shouldn't be too tight around the paw, nor should it hang down. Lift up the leg with the sock, pull it a bit to make sure it doesn't slip over the paw.

Give your paw socks a longer life

Paw socks are a consumable item, but you can extend their lifespan with a few simple tricks. Long claws wear out paw socks, but can also be harmful to your dog. Keep claws short and file them lightly after cutting. Brush the socks free of grit and make sure there is never grit inside the sock.

NOTE! Once a sock has a hole in it, it can no longer be used. There is a risk of stones or snow getting inside the sock and causing damage to the dog's paw.

Maintenance/washing

All equipment lasts longer if it is kept clean, and it is also more pleasant for the dog. Avoid leaving it damp over time. 

The dog booties can be mashine washed at  40 degrees in a laundry bag. Let it dry at room temperature - DO NOT tumble dry.

Also check for loose threads and lightly sear them with a lighter.
